Lining Repair
what we do
Lining repair offers a cost-effective and efficient way, providing no dig drainage solutions to restore damaged or deteriorating drainage systems without excavation. We perform trenchless repairs for foul, surface water, and combined sewers across Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, and Dorset. These methods extend the lifespan of existing infrastructure, minimise disruption to the surrounding area, and ensure long-term reliability. All work complies with the Water Industry Act 1991 and Sewers for Adoption standards, guaranteeing full compliance for both private and adoptable networks.
Trenchless Technology for Reliable Sewer& Drain Repair
Our lining repair methods are designed to restore drainage systems damaged by cracks, root intrusion, infiltration, corrosion, and joint displacement. By working within the existing pipe, we avoid excavation, reinstatement costs, and the impact on traffic or surface finishes. The result is a seamless internal repair that restores structural strength and flow capacity while ensuring environmental compliance. This approach is ideal for developers, utilities, and local authorities seeking durable solutions for large drainage assets or inaccessible sections of network.
Our Lining Repair Methods
We utilise a range of advanced trenchless technologies customised to the type and severity of damage.
Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP) lining method
Our Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP) lining method involves installing a resin-impregnated liner inside the existing host pipe to form a new structural wall. Once cured with hot water, steam, or ultraviolet light, the liner offers a smooth, watertight surface with a lifespan of up to 50 years. For isolated defects, we perform localised patch repairs made from glass fibre and epoxy resin, positioned and cured in place to restore integrity without the need for full relining. In cases where pipes have collapsed or need upsizing, we use pipe bursting to provide complete no-dig pipe replacement, replacing the original pipe with a new one of equal or larger diameter. We also carry out manhole sealing and refurbishment using resin injection and structural coatings to prevent infiltration and prolong the life of access chambers.
Process, Testing & Verification
Every project starts with a detailed CCTV survey to identify the type and location of defects. The pipeline is then cleaned and prepared using high-pressure Jet-Vac units before the repair method is applied. Once the liner, patch, or replacement section is installed, it is cured under controlled conditions and re-inspected by CCTV to confirm the repair aligns with MSCC5 condition grading. We provide comprehensive documentation, including inspection footage, test certification, and as-built records suitable for submission to water companies and local authorities. This process ensures that every repair meets adoption and compliance standards while upholding the highest quality assurance standards.
Compliance & Coordination
All repairs are conducted in accordance with the Water Industry Act 1991, the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, and the Environmental Protection Act 1990. Our engineers are trained in confined space entry and NRSWA supervision, enabling work to be carried out safely within live drainage systems and on public highways. We coordinate with Water Authority, local councils, and the Environment Agency to ensure all activities meet technical specifications, permit conditions, and environmental obligations. Duty-of-care procedures are observed throughout the project to safely manage and dispose of waste at licensed facilities.
Integration with CCTV Surveys & Civil Works
No-dig repairs are part of our broader commercial drainage services. Many faults are first spotted during CCTV Sewer Surveys and fixed using trenchless methods. When excavation cannot be avoided, our civil engineering team offers open-cut repairs and reinstatement, providing a complete solution from inspection to final certification. This integrated approach helps us control safety, compliance, and quality at every stage.
Accreditations & Technical Capability
We hold Constructionline Gold, SafeContractor, UKAS, and Trading Standards approvals, demonstrating our commitment to quality and safety. Our engineers utilise modern relining, patch repair, and bursting equipment capable of working on pipe diameters ranging from small domestic connections to large culverts and sewers. Each project is completed with precision and careful attention to detail, supported by strong quality management and experienced supervision.
Arrange a No-Dig Pipe Repair Assessment
We offer no-dig pipe repair and trenchless rehabilitation services across Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, and Dorset. To arrange a survey, book a lining repair, or discuss a drainage issue, contact our team to schedule an assessment. Our engineers will recommend the most suitable trenchless repair method to restore system integrity, minimise disruption, and ensure full compliance with adoption and environmental standards.
